Recently, there has been a widespread outbreak of Chikungunya and Dengue fever in some regions. Both diseases are mosquito-borne viral infections, mainly prevalent in tropical and subtropical areas. Due to climate change and increased mosquito breeding, the epidemic situation this year is severe.
Transmission:
Primarily transmitted through mosquito bites.
Main Symptoms:
Chikungunya: Sudden high fever, joint pain (especially in small joints such as hands and ankles), rash, etc.
Dengue Fever: High fever, headache, muscle and bone pain, rash, nausea, vomiting, etc.
Importance and Measures for Campus Prevention
Prevention and control are particularly important in densely populated areas like our campus.
Please follow these advice:
Clear Standing Water Regularly: Areas prone to water accumulation, such as flower pot saucers and discarded containers, are breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Please clear them promptly.
Clean Room Regularly: Maintain a clean environment to reduce mosquito habitats.
Close door and window: Check dormitory doors and windows: close doors and window screens tightly before sleep, especially during dusk when mosquitoes are active.
Keep Personal Hygiene: Wear long-sleeved clothing and pants, use mosquito repellent, and avoid mosquito bites.
Requirement:
1.Daily Temperature Check-in:
Students please upload your temperature and health status daily via the WeCom(procedure will be noticed later) for 2 weeks. Additionally, students returning to China from abroad,are required to complete a physical examination within 7 days of entry.
2.Report abnormal situations in a timely manner
Students with a recent travel history overseas, or those with a clear history of mosquito bites, If symptoms such as fever, joint pain, or rash, please seek medical attention promptly and voluntarily inform the school cilnics of relevant details, while simultaneously reporting to YOUR COORDINATOR, location: Training Center 428.
