In order to broaden the international vision of international students and their teachers and provide the recent trends regarding global medicine, School of International Education (SIE) plans to hold“World-renowned University Medical Education Forum (Online Workshop Series)”. More information can be found in the following.

1. Arrangement

The workshops in this forum will be conducted online. SIE will invite professors and doctors from prestigious universities in the UK, Poland, Singapore, Philippines, the USA, Malaysia, Australia, Germany, Kenya, Italy and etc. to introduce medical education systems and healthcare systems in different countries as well as to demonstrate various teaching approaches.

There will be a total of 20 workshops in this forum. More details about the workshops will be given via posters and in QQ group.

Due to the network conditions and limited capacity, the number of student participants would be around 22 (20 undergraduate students and 2 postgraduate students) and that of teacher participants would be around 15 each time.

2. Organization and management

For teachers:Teachers will attend the workshops on campus. Teachers could sign up for the workshops according to the time and content. Those who have participated in the discussions in at least 3 workshops can be awarded the Participation Certificate.

For international students: International students will attend the workshops online. These workshops will be regarded as optional courses for all the international students. International students who have participated in the online discussions would be awarded 0.5 credit of optional courses for each workshop. Every student could choose only one workshop to participate (some alterations might be made according to the actual situations). For those who have not signed up successfully due to the limited capacity, they could participated on campus or watch the recorded videos (no extra credit would be awarded).

Video recording and sharing: SIE will record all the workshops and upload the workshops onto the Youku Website, sharing all the recorded videos with the international students and teachers.
