Since 2022, We have enrolled 51 international students, including 31 undergraduates and 20 postgraduates from 17 countries in Asia and Africa.With the purpose of helping international studentsat home and abroadadapt tothe studyas soon as possible,theSchool of International Education (SIE) held an online opening ceremony for 2022international students on March 15th. Leaders of SIE, Representatives of teachers and international students, as well as students of 2022 batch attended the ceremony. Wang Jun, PartySecretary of the School of International Education (Department of International Cooperation and Exchange) presided over the ceremony.

          In the first place,Wang Jungave a warm welcome to all the new students and introduced the teachers and students attended the ceremony. Then,Zhang Zhuoqi, Dean of SIE, delivered a speech, introducing the general situation of XZMU and SIE.Mr. Tan Chunbo, from the School of Marxism, spoke as a representative of the teachers, introducing learning methods and experiences, and encouraging international students to devote themselves to learning after coming back to school. Senior student Sazzad Khanfrom 2019 batch sharedhisexperiences in XZMU and successful practice in medical learning. At last, Yogendra Singh and Aniekan Essiet Imeh, as delegate of 2022undergraduate and postgraduate students, respectively expressed the feelings of entering XZMU for medical study and expectations of coming back to university. Besides, the freshmen also made self-introduction videos for sharing via internet, teachers and students waved to each other and posed for photos.

          This online opening ceremony enabled all international students to have a further understanding of XZMU, enhanced the sense of belonging to SIEas well as laida good foundation for them to adapt to new study and lifein XZMU.
