Since 2021, there are 66 international students from 20 countries come to XZMU for overseas study, 48 of them are undergraduate students and 18 are postgraduate students. Due to the global pandemic of Covid-19, most of the 2021 batch students cannot enter China and back to campus. For helping the new students get ready for the better state of access to medical study, School of International Education (SIE) held an online opening ceremony for 2021 international students. All teachers of SIE as well as representatives of teachers, senior students, new students attended the ceremony.
Vice-Dean Zhang Yang gave a warm welcome to all the new students and introduced the leaders and teachers who join this ceremony. Vice-Dean Duan Wei brought the overview of XZMU and SIE to 2021 students. Zhu Xiaotong from College of Pharmacy, as the representative of teachers, felicitated the new students of being members of XZMU. Also, SIE invited student representative Atinuke Inioluwa Ojo from 2019 batch to share her experiences in XZMU and successful practice in medical learning. At last, Nazmus Sakib Ohi and Adebayo Oluwafemi Adekunle, as delegate of 2021 undergraduate and postgraduate students, expressed the feelings of entering XZMU for medical study and expectations of coming back to university soon. New students made self-introduction videos for sharing via the internet, teachers and students waved to each other and posed for a group photo.
