Regulations on Internship and Extension of Graduation (Trial)

In order to standardize the internship and graduation management for international students, School of International Education (SIE) establishes this regulation according to the requirements related to student status management of our university and the actual situation of teaching affairs management of international students.

1. Applying for Doing the Internship in Hospitals Not Appointed by SIE (Non-appointed Hospitals)

1.1 Applicants majored in clinical medicine must complete all the theoretical and practical courses from the first to the ninth semester and pass all the above examinations; applicants majored in nursing must complete all the theoretical and practical courses from the first to the fifth semester and pass all the above examinations.

1.2 Applicants must submit relevant documents of the hospital and internship offer to SIE and obtain approval (Applicants who apply for doing the internship in India do not need to submit).

1.3 Those who do the internship in non-appointed hospitals and intend to graduate in the current year must apply from 15thof March to 1stof April

to SIE for participating in the graduation examinations.

2. Applying for Doing the Internship in Hospitals Appointed by SIE (Appointed Hospitals)

2.1 Students who apply to do the internship in appointed hospitals located in mainland China must pass HSK Level 4 or above before the internship begins.

2.2 Those who have been approved to do the internship in non- appointed hospitals but are not able to complete it due to various reasons can reapply from 15thof January to 31stof January to SIE for doing the

internship in appointed hospitals. Students need to pay the internship registration fee as required by SIE when reapplying. Besides, 20% of the tuition fee will also be charged as internship deposit (not refundable), which can be offset as tuition fee after the internship registration.

3. Extension of Graduation

3.1 Students who have completed the internship shall participate in the graduation examination, and will be conferred with graduation and degree certificates if they pass the graduation examinations and meet the relevant requirements.

3.2 The longest duration of clinical medicine undergraduate program for international students in our university is 9 years, and that of nursing undergraduate program is 7 years. All students shall not exceed the longest duration; otherwise they will not be conferred with graduation and degree

certificates.

4. OtherTerms

4.1 This regulation is for the international students who were enrolled in the year of 2017 and thereafter.

4.2 SIE is responsible for explaining and implementing the regulation.

4.3 This regulation shall come into force upon promulgation.
